Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives.
At Therapisant we understand that feeling sad and anxious can be normal, but also challenging and overwhelming at times. We recognise that these normal psychological responses can be rooted in past or current traumas, and we approach treatment with a trauma-informed lens.
Depression can manifest in many different ways, from feelings of hopelessness and despair to physical symptoms like fatigue and changes in appetite or sleep. It can be caused by a variety of factors, including life transitions, relationship issues, and past trauma. Our goal is to help you identify the root causes of your low mood and develop strategies to manage these feeling in different way.
Anxiety is another common experience that can be rooted in past or current traumas. It can manifest as a persistent feeling of worry or fear, or it can be triggered by specific situations or events. Anxiety can also have physical symptoms, such as muscle tension, rapid heartbeat, and difficulty breathing. We work with you to identify the triggers for your anxiety and develop coping strategies that help you manage your symptoms and reduce your overall stress level.
We understand that depression and anxiety can be complex and multifaceted experiences, and we approach treatment with compassion, empathy, and a deep understanding of trauma-informed and other evidence-based approaches, like CBT and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Our goal is to help you build resilience and develop the skills you need to navigate these experiences in a healthy and sustainable way.
At Therapisant, we offer face-to-face psychotherapy sessions in London for those who prefer this type of intervention. Our face-to-face sessions are offered ad hoc and subject to limited availability.
If you are interested in face-to-face sessions, please get in touch with us and we will do our best to accommodate your request. However, if we are unable to offer you in person sessions due to limited availability, we will work with you to find other resources and support options, including signposting you to other qualified practitioners.
We understand that everyone has different preferences and needs when it comes to therapy, and we are committed to offering a range of options to best support you.
Whether you prefer online sessions or face-to-face therapy, we are here to help you.
Currently we are working predominantly online. Online sessions are held from the safety of your own home or private space.
Numerous studies have demonstrated the efficacy of online psychotherapy as a valid and effective alternative to traditional in-person therapy. Online therapy has been shown to be effective for a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, traumatic stress, and relationship difficulties. Online therapy has also been found to be equally as effective as in-person therapy.
Starting therapy can feel daunting. Get in touch for an initial consultation where you can discuss in detail your concerns with an experienced clinician. You will decide together if now is the right time for you to start your therapeutic journey.
